Over the years we have evolved in our endeavors thanks to our many loyal donors. Our fund has been helping children and their families diagnosed with pediatric cancer treated at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia since April of 2003. Our Hope Packages constantly change at the request of the social workers and families, so if you as a patient would like something added please send us an email and we will take it under advisement.
Since 2013, we have been able to give over $14,500 in gift cards to the oncology Child Life Specialists to utilize for the patients needs. They have been utilizing the gift cards to throw a birthday birthday, celebrate the end of treatment, as a reward for completing a procedure, or anything else they may need for the patients on the oncology floor. We are grateful to our donors who allow us the funds to provide something special to the patients.
Through the years our fund has donated a utility cart for the patients to use to transport their stuff to and from their cars to their room for their stay. We donated books when the new teen room was established. We donated art supplies for the patients to utilize. We donated supplies and gift cards for a teen ice cream social. Our fund also donated a new kitchen and play food for one of the play areas on the oncology floor.
